I am part of the Joplin Area Ministerial Alliance (JAMA). We meet every 1st Thursday of the month, and this week we met at Souls Harbor in Joplin, Mo. Souls Harbor is a soup pantry, and a homeless shelter. They have been around for years and serve the Joplin Area.
Today’s meeting started out everyone singing Amazing Grace (accapela) and it was awesome. Pastor Daniel Wermuth gave the greeeting and he was talking about how we need to be in rhythm with the heartbeat of God. He illistrated that by talking about his father and when he was on his death bed. He had a chance to lay his head on his chest, listen, and then he came into rhythm with his breathing. Wow that is so powerful.
Just think, if we all were in rythym with God’s heartbeat what an incredible world we would live in.
Pastor Dan also talked about waking up with the song, “Something Good is going to happen to you today”. He challenged us all to speak these words and believe that something good is going to happen today.
