True story…….

10-23-08- I was happy to hear from Pam Driver’s, the photographer, who shot these photo’s.  She informed me that this happened in Wichita, Ks and told me I could verify it here:  http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/catchfish.asp.   Thanks!

Fish Story[]

In Wichita KS, Bill and Pam Driver’s saw a ball

bouncing around kind of strange in the lake and

went to investigate. It turned out to be a Flathead

catfish who had obviously tried to swallow a

basketball which became stuck in its mouth!! The

fish was totally exhausted from trying to dive, but

was unable to because the ball would always bring

him back up to the surface. Bill tried numerous

times to get the ball out, but was unsuccessful. He

finally had his wife cut the ball in order to deflate it

and release the hungry catfish.

You probably wouldn’t have believed this, if you hadn’t seen the following pictures…

Be kinder than necessary.

‘Cause everyone you meet

is fighting some kind of battle.

How many of you are fighting some kind of battle?  Let’s look at this example.

The fish obviously bit off more than he could swallow?  How many of us have ever done that?

I KNOW I HAVE!

The fish was found floating in the water.  He had the ball in his mouth but every time it tried to dive, or run away from the situation, the air in the ball took him back to the top.  SOUND FAMILIAR?

Running from our situation will not solve the issue.  This fish was lucky that a concerned and inquisitive person rescued him.

Someone could rescue us, but it is unlikely and it still wont solve the problem.

Just like us, if we don’t deal with the issue that caused the problem in the first place,

WE WILL END UP LIKE THE CATFISH WHO SWALLOWED THE BASKETBALL!
