What will our reflection of 2009 be?
I am expecting 2009 to be a great year! Yes we have many changes about to occur, but I am optimistic about the future. I was talking to a friend today about this subject and we agree that 2009 will be a great year of the Lord.
Unfortunately, God uses hardships to get folks attention. He uses times like this for great revival.
BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT!
2008 was a year of hardship for us! Being unemployed for 7 months of the year and other things going on, God has definitely got our attention. Praise the Lord! We are listening to God and we have learned a lot this year.
If you or someone you know is going through or goes through any hardships in 2009, make sure you have an opportunity to pray with them and make sure that they use this time to reflect and listen. Listen to what the Lord is trying to say to them.
I pray that you have a blessed 2009 and that it is a year of favor and victory.
Blessings!

There are a couple of old sayings that come to mind. One is “It’s always darkest just before dawn.” That would be good news if 2008 was the darkness, but what if it hasn’t finished getting dark yet? The other saying is “Things will get worse before they get better.” Yikes.
Of course neither of these sayings are from scripture. I hope 2009 is the bearer of good news you are looking for. BTW, keep up the good work on this blog Mr. Lane. I also wrote on Welcoming 2009, and gave the alternate title of “Look on the Bright Side.”

That’s excellent advice. These test and trials have lessons to be learned in them.
I must agree. The last few years have been very hard. I think that for us personally, things can only get better and better. If not, well, we’ve lived through hard times and can do it again with the Lord as our Lord.
